Happy Belated Birthday Turnip

My turnip is three now. The post is belated not because we forgot his birthday but because my organizer got stolen friday night (from Chuck E. Cheese no less!) (And to save yourselves the trouble, Luckybuzz’s own Gospel Bob already got the “rat” jokes in first) and then with the altercation Saturday, well… there is really no excuse. Anyway, here are a few self-indulgent photos of my little “haranguatang”. (if ever there was an oh-so-fitting nickname)

see how he is blurry? It makes me realize how fateful the paparazzi coup of last week actually was. Miraculous really.

This next one is not from the fateful organizer snatching night but from a visit to Chuck E. Cheese from a few weeks ago. It’s part of a series of (again quite blurry) shots I called “Turnip phone stalks Chucky”

Pick up the phone baby. I know you are there. You know you still care about me. Chuckie...we need to work this out. PICK UP THE GODDAM PHONE....wait...im sorry. See you made me yell. Just pick up so we can just talk about this.

And the next has a gratuitous brother shot included. Because on a completely serious note, one of the happiest moments of my summer was drumming with my boys last night.

The damn guy in the mustache Never. Backs. Off. How can be uninhibited with him breathing down my neck all the time?

Well....I don\'t really have pent up rage. Im only six and my mom is a counselor.

Happy birthday baby boy. We love you more than you could ever imagine.

Really? A photo from Chuck E. Cheese a few weeks ago? How frequently do you go to Chuck E. Cheese? When I told Boston I hated their pizza and didn’t want to go there, he said [Ty’s stepmother] LOVES their pizza. (She’s a suckup!) (Yeah, okay, I know it’s not about the pizza!

Happy Birthday my sweet nephew! I love you so much. You bring such joy to our lives, and I love the phone conversations that we have about daddy’s diarrhea.

Jan, Chuck E. Cheese IS a rat hole, and while I like the pizza and the birthday cake, I’m certain that there a number as of yet undiscovered communicable diseases up in those tubes. Shudder. Take the kids to the Children’s Museum of the Valley–way better than Chuck E. Cheese.

    Happy Birthday, Turnip!

Little O’s father is campaigning hard to avoid the Cheese this year, but unless he’s able to pull a fairy princess castle out of his *ss AND produce the twin sister she keeps asking for , I think we all know where we’ll be in October…

  7. Andrea says:

    Mmmm Chuck E Cheese!

    Happy b-day Turnip!

well every child has that place no adult wants to go and there is some rodent involved so I guess it could be worse

Thanks for all the birthday wishes friends!

Jan-Interestingly, we had not been to chuck e. cheese in two years before a few weeks ago. The return trip was a result of some difficulties involving the lack of prize collection last trip. Now we have a free pizza and drinks so we are locked into this weird cycle.
Lucy- Id give my kids culture if it didn’t involve parking complications and they had better snacks. Chuck E. Cheese totally sucks, but they do have free refills on the drinks. Until the Children’s Museum can offer me that, Im kind of locked in.
Madame F- He sends back a fanks to his aunt modi.
LB- They can’t wait to meet their little cousin and see you too!
Jennfactor- Im ashamed to admit it but your comment really did make me L.O.L.
Lyghtchild- I love you. You will always be safe here. That is all.
